
... So my moving the Solomons Seals to another location seems to have worked, first flowers in years.

I love these wee green-tipped bells, so pretty.

And the Oak-Leaf Hydrangea is about ready to flower, the buds at their most immature look a little like fuzzy asparagus heads,

then they mature to the broccoli look,

and then the white flowers come. In Canberra, where I transplanted this bush from, the flowers came through in time for the end of the year celebration feast - they glowed beautifully by candlelight. Here, they are well and truly over by that time. Pity.

Oh, and look, a bebe pumpkin is popping up in the cyclamen pot - a result, I suspect, of our spreading home-made compost love throughout the garden a week or so ago.
