... our friends the Hedonists. Last night a "quiet, early" dinner was suggested. Since Dr Who is now ended, we can go out on a Saturday again and the Hedonist suggested travelling out of our area, to Gladesville, to Rockend, beside the Parramatta River.
So far so good. It's a lovely little restaurant, the Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant, a really lovely old sandstone building (1830s, which I know isn't really old by European standards but for here ....). Apparently the bard lived there with his granny when he was a boy.
The food was very nice indeed (thought the carpet was GHASTLY) the wine was plentiful and a bottle of Noble One was consumed at the end.
The nice quiet early evening ended well after the pumpkin hour, I was so full (full as a goog is the term) I couldn't sleep comfortably and this morning I woke with that fuzzy head feeling. Why does this always happen when those 2 are involved?

Hee, hee. I think I would like your friends the Hedonists.
I love online menus, perusing.
I'll have the Grilled Sirloin Salad for starters, thanks, and the Poppy& Sesame Crusted YellowFin Tuna for mains.
With plonk, no desserts, perhaps cheese later on.
And I know it's not on, but I have my sticky with cheese, not sweet things....
H&B - a little of what you fancy can't hurt you - you can have my share of the sinky cheese (ick)
