It appears cats chose to become domesticated ...

... apparently because it suited them. I can't imagine why! That's Ping & Small, on their very own goose-down doona, on their very own couch. I suspect, after dinner!

The more interaction I have with cats -- It's minimal, since they make me sneeze -- the more I realize they are very sneaky creatures. They're obviously highly intelligent, have minds of their own and are obviously well aware of their manipulative powers.

I think it's safe to say they have us wrapped around their little fingers/paws/whatever...

But they are pretty cute, and that purring gets me every time.

The purring and the snuggles get me. But you are right, too clever by half. Mr Brown says we are VERY lucky they don't have thumbs!

We have one about as comfortable as those two look - we like to say she has two college-educated people working full time to keep her in comfort. If she wasn't so darn cute and didn't purr us to sleep each night...

Zoomie, we only work so we can pay the bills - it's important to keep those cats cosy!

Yeah, I'm not sure that it was them as became domesticameted as much as they trained us to serve them.

E - you can imagine the scene can't you - African Wildcat strolls in, sniffs a few things, checks out the bed and goes "yeah, nice place, I think I'll move in. Hey you, the two-legged freak, bring me something to eat".
