It turns out I was born on the night of a new moon.
I don't believe this is significant, just vaguely interesting.
There was a great moon hoax in 1835.
The Whole of the Moon by the Waterboys, is one of my favourite songs EVER.

Ooh, that's right, it's winter over yonder, isn't it? LA is never pitch black, way too many city lights.
oh yeah, it's winter alright, and it was one of Sydney's coldest nights last night too. Pitch black may be a slight exageration, the city lights, street lights etc are on but the sky had no moon that I could see.
The Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd, is one of my favorite albums ever.

OOh I love Dark Side of the Moon (the Wall also). It was 8 degrees this morning, I had to dig out GLOVES! I've not worn gloves for about 7 years. bbrrrr.
I thought I was the only person that ever knew this band, this song ! Loved it.
I used to keep a diary and write in it every day when I was in High School. At the top of each page, i'd always start with 'Song of the Day', which was whatever song was eating at my brain at the time.
I remember THIS song being on the top of the page for WEEKS ! :)
H&B oooh another wb fan, I loved, loved, loved them, still do. AND I have the records on cd too (the first band I did the changeover for) - so I can listen anytime I want, often while blogging btw!
