... I sleep in Remo t-shirts. They are made from a lovely thick, soft, strong fabric. They are very well made. They come with all sorts of cute / clever / profound designs. I bought this one for myself at xmas, it's called The Little Guy, it's a very life-like cicada.
Anyway, not very long ago I got up in the middle of the night, was disentangling myself from the bed coverings and looked down. I let out a wee girly scream - eeekk! I'd seen a HUGE insect on my front.
Almost instantly I realised what it was, but still, opski.

I have a t-shirt with a giant weta on the front. I love the t-shirt, but if I accidentally catch my own reflection in a mirror or window of some kind, I get the heebies.
gasp! Remo is still around? I thought they vanished when their store on the cnr of Oxford & Crowns Sts closed OMG OMG OMG
DMM, you've made me very happy. I can buy Remo goodies.
My life is complete.
Thank you :)
ps: I am thoroughly ashamed to admit that I have not yet posted your alien t-shirt becuase it is still with my mama's presents and my brother's presents and my nephew's presents - and I decided to wrap everything before I took it all to the post office. However, it is closer to being posted. All goodies are at least in a lovely Crabtree & Evelyn baggie in the boot of my car.
One step closer ... sorry sweet pea. I will get on to on Monday. Will you still talk to me? lol
E - A Weta, now there's an insect I'd love to meet (though not in bed). Does this mean you've visited the land of the long white cloud?
CAW - Remo is ONLY on line, the lovely shop had been gone gone gone for years. You can still get most stuff at the virtual shop though. This may make you jealous, I have a copy of the ORIGINAL calalogue!
And as for the alien thing, CORS I'll still talk to you - that you've actually managed to track one down & snaffle it - tis pretty spech!
LOL, fangs for still torquing to me after i have taken so long to ship your goodsies. gosh, i was astonished when i found it in the car. eek.
and yes, i am merrily jealous of your original remo catalogue activity! i used to have one years ago but can you believe i threw it out? yes. in a fit of pique whilst moving house, i chucked it thinking that i'd never need it.
pah.
if only i knew then what i knew now?!
Sadly, no, someone I knew visited the land of the long white cloud, and all I got was a weta t-shirt that freaks me out when I see it in the mirror. But not to worry, will be visiting by 2009. Then I can see one up close and personal, scream like a little girl, go eww eww eww, then come back fascinated and turn the camera on macro to tak pictures. If the thing comes at me, I will die.
E - I don't think you will need macro - those things are as big as a manly man hand!
CAW - Mr Brown swore off buying me diamonds after I threw the last one in the fire.
