Quite small, fast moving and, I discovered this morning, very camera shy. Still, I did my best to snap a few.
The best bit about skinks, for me anyhoo, is the rustle of the leaf litter as they skitter away. 
It used to worry me, that noise, until I worked out what it was, now it makes me smile. You know, if you hear a rustle in the leaf litter, don't be alarmed dear ....

I love lizards, they're so terribly energetic. Or napping.
These ones are so fast it's like they are on speed - cute as buttons though.

These skinks are pretty cute. But I think a lot of what makes them cute is that they are called "skinks".
