... we just have to commandeer this floating hotel and there we go, oodles of room to go around. This is the view from my office's window, spoiled rather by a rather vulgar large boat (ship says Mr Brown). The bloody thing is 23 stories high, that's the same size as the building I work in! I rather like that some irreverent exhibitionists greeted the Queen Mary II with bare bottoms though, most giggle worthy.picture thanks to ... (the other 2 were taken by my desk buddy, Fiddles)
Oh, and it's Shrove (Pancake) Tuesday, so Mr Brown & I had crepe suzette for desert. I did take a picture of the flaming orange-sauced pancakes, but the flash kicked in and it just looked like limp pancakes, not very photogenic, but most delicious let me assure you. (Fancy, cooking pancakes in 28 degrees, I must REALLY be fond of that Mr Brown).

yeh, top idea re solving the rental crisis. you know what, the govt could also solve the problems associated with pushing the mentally ill out on to the street too.
they could install the mentall ill on to the QMII too.
2 birds, 1 stone and all that...
I'd put the mentally ill in the QE2, it's smaller but apparently quite luxurious, and the renters (& homeless) on the QM2 - I suspect there may be more of them.
'twas a sight to behold, and i will admit to being one of the loonies out pre-dawn to watch teh bloody thing arrive.
i'd put pics on my blog... if only i could figure out how to get them out of my phone... bah!
I'm trusting you weren't one of the TOTAL mados who went down after work, bringing the city to a gridlockie standstill! Jeebers, how on earth could anyone blame the Government for not forseeing that 200,000 people would all want to go and look at a big boat?? My mind boggles.
Nice pics .. but it was the building in front of the boat/ship that I was enjoying most of all ... :)
Ah yes, St Mary's, beautiful sandstone cathedral, just lovely.
