You'd have thought that if everyone had "kept to the left" then there wouldn't have been a problem, but nobody does that anymore. Considerate pedestrianism, like proper queuing, is a thing of the past (hrumpf, grump, grumble). I think it's going to be a jolly day out though, despite the need for comfortable walking shoes.
oo! oo! what funnage! i wish i could be there, legging it over the bridgeorama. hey, when you both go, can you say hi to the bridge for me? or blog some photies or summink?? also, i agree on the queing and the walking thing - everyone is all over the place these days. having said that tho, americans have learned to queue and they actually do it quite well. they havent mastered the walking or the driving thing yet but im hopefully that they'll get it right eventually.

bear & dr j now booked for 6.
i remember the last time they did this, in the days before the internet and pre-registration.
200,000 people started from the north side, heading south.
200,000 people started from teh south side heading north.
and they met in the middle.
bang.
and there we stood for four hours while the police figured out how to extricate everyone from the mess.

I suspect I'll take a camera with us, and good news on the septics queuing -it's not as if it is a difficult concept!
it wasn't a keep left prob, back then, it was a 'very stupid marshalls' problem.
but you're right. 'young people today have no respect'
