A good day ...

... Cleaning up after a dinner party is such a drag, especially when one is slightly overhung. So you can imagine how happy I was when I got up this morning and found the bebe brother doing the washing up. He even scrubbed the blackened baking dish!
And then we went to the fish markets and bought prawns (bebe bro butterflied them, crumbed them and fried them crisp) and mussels (I cooked them in chilli, garlic, chives, white wine and cream) and came home and ate it all - mmmmm, no photies, it all happened so fast!
And then I found a whole nest of bebe spiders. Not the best shot but each of those wee white things is a spider, the big white thing is what's left of the egg sack. And this is cute, I like to think it's mum & bebe but I suspect the little one is actually Mr Spider. I hope she's not eating one of my blue banded bees. I hope this one isn't too.
Also, after waiting and waiting for the tomatoes to ripen, I finally remembered that these were orange tomatoes, not red, and so, ripe!
First tomato of the season, Mr Brown pronounced it fine!
