... aka tomatoes. We were quite late putting them in this year, but it looks like we'll still get a good crop. It seems quite a good spot for tomatoes, our garden. We even have a feral one growing alongside Toogie's memorial(must have grown from a split, spoiled or chewed tommie I tossed/composted last summer).
The basil is pootling along, I'm already pulling it to bits for this and that in the kitchen.
While in the garden I've noticed something is eating almost perfectly-round holes in the rose's leaves. It looks like a lunatic has gone wild with a hole punch.And this makes me happy, it means that somewhere, deep down in the ground in our garden, bebe cicadas sleep.

We get lots of cicadas, and I am always finding discarded shells. They fascinate the boy :)
I can remember collecting the shells when I was little and hanging them all over mum's curtins.
