You really know that Summer is on the way when the Jacaranda's are all in bloom.

What pretty, pretty oh so pretty jacarandas! I miss them ever so much. I used to park my car under the jax tree outside my apartment in cremorne and lo. Every morning it was covered in a lilac carpet. Just lovely.
I drove to work in Crows Nest in a purple carpet.
People stared.
I cared not.
Our back yard is a purple carpet - from next-doors tree. It makes up for all the sharp little leaves you keep finding in the clothes & sheets the rest of the year.
