Visiting Northerners ...

... bearing gifts!
My brother, OJ, & his lovely wife are in town. Down from Queensland for a couple of days and staying at the Brown-Mouse B&B.
They arrived with gifts, Sweet Ladyfinger bananas (I paid $9.55 for 3 bananas last Saturday) for Mr Brown and some avocados & a mango for me (I can smell the mango perfume as I type)! I suspect I'll end up sharing but it won't be without a fight.
In other news ... I may well find myself shelling out real actual money for the hard cover version of Mr Chris Masters new book, Jonestown - if this brief extract is anything to go by.
UPDATE: the last three bananas were turned into banana bread - never thought I'd be making that again!

We pay about 10 cents per narnie here - they come from Ecuador I think. Avos are $5 for a clump of 4 and they are soooo yummy. The mangos, tho, are orange.
Yes.
Orange.
I cannot bring myself to buy them, or even to find out how much they cost.
Looking at them just hurts my eyes.
