... I went to a
knitting class today, for beginners, and had a lovely time. Even having to get there at
9am didn't spoil the fun. Even walking home up the hill from the station in the
boiling sun (
30+ degrees so I'm told) didn't ruin the day for me.
I've tried to learn to knit many many times before and it's never taken. Perhaps (
now that I'm a mature adult and all) it will finally stick and I'll be able to make beautiful things like my Mum can.

The first thing I knitted (
knat?). I think I'll use it as a coaster.

The beginning of my project (
all I'll say is it's going to be green).

Extreme closeup of my moss stitch (
oh hark at me, typing the lingo!). Not bad for a day's work.

Good for you! I'm loving this knittage. I had to knit a dolly once. It was so ugly when I finished it that looked like Frankenstein's child so I think I used it as a doorstop.
What are you planning to whip up in the knitting stakes??
The plan is a sort of wrap thingy - I do hope I've not got ahead of myself here - my hands get tired, tis better than watching TV though!
